SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS

The Constance D. Merriweather Scholarship is an annual, merit-based award that is open to 12th graders and college students and non-traditional students. The goal is to recognize students who are committed to using education to better their life and that of their family and community.

Especially meaningful, these scholarships are established by individuals who care deeply about Paducah Tilghman and its students. Some donors are PTHS alumni, who were themselves the beneficiaries of student aid. An endowed scholarship can establish a direct connection between you and the donor; most donors welcome the opportunity to meet or correspond with the students who receive their awards.  There is no minimum or maximum amount of gift aid that can be awarded.

Applicants may study any major and attend any college in the WORLD. Applicants must be legal residents of the United States, graduates of Paducah Tilghman High School and complete the online application form including the required personal statement. The award may be used for tuition, room and board, books or any related educational expense.

To be eligible to apply for the Constance D. Merriweather Scholarship, you must meet the below listed criteria:

  • Show proof of achievement in academics, athletics or the arts.
  • Be a graduate or graduating from Paducah Tilghman High School
  • Earned a minimum 3.0 GPA or above
  • Demonstrate need for financial assistance
  • Demonstrate excellence in society through philanthropy

It is amazing what you can achieve when someone believes in you!
